FACIAL TREATMENT AFTERCARE
Thank you for trusting me with your skin! Following your facial, a little extra care will help your skin glow, recover and feel it’s best.
What Your Skin Might Experience
Your skin may respond to the treatment in different ways — all of which are normal:
1. Mild Redness
~ Your skin may look a little pink as blood flow increases, this is a good sign that your skin is responding.
~ Usually settles within a few hours. Apply a gentle moisturiser if needed.
2. Sensitivity
~ Your skin may feel a little reactive after your treatment.
~ Use soothing products and avoid scrubs or strong actives for 3-5 days.
3. Dryness or Flaking
~ Some shedding of old skin cells is normal after a facial, which can cause temporary dryness.
~ Keep your skin hydrated. Cleanse gently, ideally on alternate days if needed.
4. Breakouts
~ Minor breakouts can happen as your skin purges impurities.
~ Avoid touching or picking, these usually clear within a few days.
5. Temporary Pigmentation Changes
~ Depending on your skin type, you may notice subtle changes in tone and colour.
~ Protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen to support healing and prevent further pigmentation.
Tips for Keeping Your Glow
Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun for at least 48 hours. Always use SPF 50+ when outdoors.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to support your skin from the inside out.
Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild cleanser and skip aha’s and vitamin a products for the next few days.
Moisturise: Apply your recommended moisturiser to keep skin calm, soft and nourished.
Avoid Heat: Give your skin a break from saunas, steam rooms, hot showers or intense exercise for 24–48 hours.
Hands Off: Try not to touch or pick at your skin, this keeps your results smooth and healthy.
Your facial has activated your skin to refresh, repair, and restore balance. Mild reactions like redness, sensitivity or flaking are completely normal and part of the process.
